EnviroShell's packaging (Winterborne LLC) is a great alternative to plastic blister packs. EnviroShell is both recyclable and made from post consumer wastes. I saw several products packed this
at my local Costco.Basically the package is a layer of cardboard / pressed paper on bottom with one on top ... with cutouts for the products ... this is covered with a #2 plastic molded part and the three parts are glued together.
The result: Easy to open, easy to recycle and environmentally friendly. And no cuts from opening typical hard shell blister packaged good.
